It's that time of year when you're working outside but drinking water isn't quenching your thirst the way you need it to. Your body is looking for something that will give it back some of those minerals it's sweating out and this easy Lemonade will do just that.
The added mint gives a cooling sensation that isnt present without it.
This recipe is written for a stander size juice pitcher. If you have a smaller one cut the recipe in half, if you have a bigger one double it.
Mint Lemonade
Ingredients
4 lemons
1/2 cup raw honey
5 fresh or dry mint leaves
a dash of salt
ice
water
Directions
Juice the 4 lemons into your pitcher, being careful not to add any seeds.
Stir in the honey. Mix until the honey and lemon juice are incorporated well.
Add a dash of salt
Fill the pitcher with water
Add the mint leaves and stir
Finish off by adding some ice
The longer the lemonade sits in your fridge the cooler it will get and the more the mint leaves will infuse it. This makes it better on the 2nd day in my opinion but it is still great to drink the same day it's made. Not a fan of mint, feel free to omit this from the recipe.
